TRENDS AND PROBLEMS OF FINANCIAL PROVISION OF SOCIAL PROTECTION OF THE POPULATION UNDER GLOBALIZATION CONDITIONS

Abstract
The publication analyzes the key trends of social protection of Ukrainian population in the conditions of globalization. The analysis of state expenditures for financing the needs of social protection of Ukrainian citizens against the background of the standards of social policy of European countries was carried out. The necessity of carrying out a series of socio-economic reforms for ensuring the proper functioning of the mechanism of social protection system is determined. It was established that the main problems of financial provision of social sphere are: insufficient amount of budget funds for financing of social sphere, failure to fulfill planned indicators of financing of all social articles, lack of mechanisms for ensuring the quality of social services. Taking into account certain problems of financing of the sphere of social protection of the population, the directions of their overcoming are substantiated.
