Abstract
Today, with actively developing trade, economic and business cooperation, a growing number of cross-border transactions, whose members belong to different jurisdictions, and many international projects, some components of which are governed by the law of different countries, legal translation is becoming more and more important. Legal terminology is one of the most sophisticated and sought-after areas which requires a scientific understanding of the theory and practice of search interlanguage correspondences. Legal terminology is widely used not only in the professional environment, but also in other spheres of speech communication, therefore there is a great demand for the study of the language of law for special purposes. It is a unique object of research, since it is characterized by a large variety of applications in comparison with other terminology systems
