Abstract
The purpose of the study is to determine the leverage procyclicality operating in Turkey deposit, participation and devolopment banks for January 2002-December 2017 time period. The procyclicality was investigated by regression analysis, measuring asset change and leverage ratios change of the banks included in the research. The findings show that there is positive and statistically significant relation between leverage ratios change and asset change. This result indicates that leverage is a financial accelerating mechanism and, financial cycles and credit cycles support each other.
