Abstract
The article presents participation of Wanda Grabowska in creating and the functioning of the Liga Kobiet Pogotowia Wojennego in Piotrkow. I pre¬sented her biography which influenced the independence work in years of the World War I. The article is discussing involving Grabowska in the help to legionnaires and them for families. The text is discussing also relations be¬tween Liga Kobiet Pogotowia Wojennego and Polish Legions. On the example of Wanda's Grabowska biography was presented a problem of the activity of women in independence activity.
