UKRAINE AND VISEGRAD GROUP COUNTRIES: SOCIAL DIMENSIONS OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Abstract

Due to democratization, decentralization and the structural changes the growth of social enterprises in Central and Eastern Europe began after 1989. A significant impact on this process was performed by EU policy recommendations for accessioning countries. The main reasons by which the further growth of social enterprises in ECE is inhibited are bipolar social welfare system based on the public and for-profit sectors; low or inadequate number of social enterprise advisers, instructors, leaders, administrators, managers, social entrepreneurs, and paid staff of third sector organizations delivering social and community services; lack of capital within SE structures area; incomplete legislation and unstable fiscal frameworks, etc.
