Unity of Spiritual and Physical Development in the Philosophy for Children of V. Sukhomlynsky.

Abstract

The article presents the analysis of V. Sukhomlynsky's pedagogical activity in relation to the problem of the comprehensive development of the individual in various types of activities, the constant and systematic formation of the abilities and desires of the child through the spiritual and physical development of children. The article reveals the process of spiritual and physical development in the following aspects: goals, tasks, forms, methods, means, motivation of the participants of this process, staffing, material and technical base of sports facilities, financial support, organizational-pedagogical and methodological support, medical control, unity in the work of families, schools, out-of-school institutions, the public, etc. Also, this article, on the basis of the above-mentioned works of the scientist, reveals the principles of the systematic spiritual and physical development of children and youth, namely: natural correspondence, cultural correspondence, self activity, activity, integrity, continuity, control, support and accessibility. A unique contribution to the theoretical development and practical implementation of the provisions of physical education of schoolchildren, both during the training sessions and in the extra-curricular work of philosophy for the children of the teacher-innovator V. Sukhomlynsky is presented. From the point of view of the great teacher, physical culture and spiritual development are considered in the context of a multifaceted educational process at school, as well as in various public associations and children's and youth organizations, families, in extracurricular work. The article focuses on the work of the scientist on such issues as physical education of students in lessons and classes in certain sports, which play a role in the comprehensive development of individuals only when all educational work is carried out with care of health. Also, the article outlines the problem of physical education of all schoolchildren and occupation of professional sports by children who have both motivation and physical factors. It is disclosed that, as one of the main conditions of physical education, the observance by students of the regime of physical and mental labour and rest, the observance of sanitary and hygiene requirements, work has been identified as the main means of health promotion in the pedagogical heritage of V. Sukhomlynsky and is covered in this article.
