Updated formulas for calculations of pipelines of drainage networks

Abstract
The basic empirical formulas for hydraulic calculation of the networks of drainage are analyzed. Such formulas are cumbersome, practically not suitable for optimizing the analysis of the working of the sewage network. Basic formulas for hydraulic calculations are updated. The updated power formula, which takes into account the conditions and operating modes of the sewerage networks for both their hydraulic and optimization calculations is determined. An updated power-law formula for determining hydraulic slopes is obtained, suitable for the calculation of both pressure and non-pressure drainage pipelines, which are the main part of the drainage networks of modern settlements. For certain requirements and normative indices of working conditions and calculations represented in DBN В.2.5-75, numerical values of the coefficient and exponents of the degree of the updated power formula are obtained, and analytical dependencies for calculating of the coefficient taking into account the pipeline filling are proposed. Comparison of the calculation results with the reference formulas recommended by the current Ukrainian regulations for the calculation of sewerage pipelines showed that the updated power formula with the obtained numerical values of its parameters is quite suitable for its practical use.
