Use of Stem Cells to Treat Left Ventricular Hypertrophy
Journal Title: Journal of Regenerative Medicine & Biology Research - Year 2023, Vol 4, Issue 3
Abstract
Left Ventricular Hypertrophy is a multifactorial condition involving genetic and signaling pathways. Current recommendations for treating hypertensive LVH include ACE inhibitors, RAS and CCBs. Despite numerous drug therapies for ventricular hypertrophy, patients often deteriorate and experience a decline in ventricular function ultimately leading to heart failure. For this reason, alternative therapies must be investigated. Stem cells possess the potential to divide at a high capacity, self-renew and differentiate into numerous cardiac cell lineages. Furthermore, stem cells are connected to ventricular remodeling and are vital in maintaining the homeostasis of the heart. Further examination of the role of stem cells in LVH could result in the development of targeted therapeutic interventions for prevention or reversal of the phenomenon.

3D Bioprinting for Tissue Engineering Amidst the Century Cataclysm
The coronavirus is one of our modernistic day’s major universal, human defies. The human brain is planned to prefer the present-day and underrate the future. That triggers it hard to prohibit disasters like pandemics. Nu...
Adipose-Derived Stem Migration in the Vascular System after Transplantation and the Potential Colonization of Ectopic Sites in Swine
Background: Adipose-derived Stem Cells (ASC) are obtained from adipose tissue. They can be harvested by liposuction under local anesthesia, making these cells particularly desirable for use in tissue engineering or cel...
Criteria to Distinguish Endogenous Telomerase-Positive Totipotent Stem Cells from Exosomes as Major Players in Regenerative Medicine
Endogenous adult-derived Totipotent Stem Cells (TSCs) and tissue-resident exosomes are major players in the field of regenerative medicine. TSCs provide the undifferentiated building blocks for tissue repair, while exo...
The Use of Stem Cell-Derived Organoids in Cancer Treatment Research
Cancer is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. While some forms of cancer are more manageable and nonfatal with treatments like chemotherapy and radiation, other forms are not as manageable and have high fatalit...
Patch Repair for Intestinal Perforation Closure in an Ex-Vivo Porcine Model with Burst Pressure Characterization
Background: Bowel perforation is the loss of intestinal wall integrity and can occur by several mechanisms including infection, obstruction, inflammation, trauma and iatrogenic causes. Incidences of bowel perforation ran...
