Use of the expert’s findings as evidence in the investigation of economic crimes

Abstract
The article deals with the use of conclusions of the expert as evidence in the course of proving economic legal violations (crimes). Particular attention is paid to the study of one of the varieties of evidence – the expert’s conclusion, the definition of the terms “evidence”, “expert opinion” and “expert”, which help to address this issue in detail. In addition, the procedure for the appointment of exa minations during the investigation of economic crimes and their types is considered. It determines the value played by the expert’s conclusion in the process of proving economic crimes. The mechanism of appointment of the examination (definition of the type of examination, preparation of the application and its annexes, appeal to the court, receipt of a decision, directing the decision of the expert to the materials of the proceedings) is explored.
