Uwarunkowania i prowadzenie gospodarki rybacko-wędkarskiej w zbiornikach zaporowych

Abstract
Specific conditions in dam reservoirs and the basis of their classification have been discussed. Regularities in the forming of ichthyofauna of the Włocławski, Zegrzyński and Siemianówka reservoirs were shown as an example. After 10 years of reservoir functioning the ichthyofauna is dominated by cyprinids (bream, white bream, roach and others), which constitute 70–90% of the total biomass. The biomass can be really high, reaching as much as 1000 kg ha–1. The dominance of predatory fish is very low and does not exceed a few percent. It has been shown that fisheries and angling may play an important role in structuring the ichthyofauna. Stocking, fisheries exploitation and fish protection are the instruments that allow of the regulation of species abundance and dominance in fish assemblages. Attention has been paid to the effectiveness of stocking and relations between the artisanal and recreational fisheries.
