Abstract
Koval E., Syryt V. Improvement of competition in modern economic system. The main object of the article is improving of economic competition in modern economic conditions. The article analyzes the evolution of views of economic science on the concept of "economic competition" at various stages of development. Its influence on the system of social and economic relations in different formations is highlighted. The effect of competition is analyzed from the standpoint of a functional and behavioral approach. The transformation concept of competition is revealed for adaptation to modern market conditions of management. Installed the priority areas of competition among them are mutually beneficial cooperation and searching the new markets. The results will be used for improving social, economic, scientific, cultural, psychological aspects of competition in different formations on micro- and macroeconomic levels. The interaction of individual and social is possible in the process of unification in a single cooperation on the basis of mutual understanding and mutual study of tasks: first, the satisfaction of man's personal interest as the highest good; and secondly, the common good is possible only when at the same time individual good is achieved, because society consists of individual people Key words:co mpetition, competitiveness, monopolistic competition, perfect competition, monopoly, competitive advantages.
