Victimological aspects of hostage taking

Abstract
The article analyzes the victimological aspects of the hostage taking (Article 147 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) based on an analysis of an accessible empirical material. The victimological description of the victims of such crimes has been developed in the article, as well as specific recommendations for behavior in the event of seizure or detention of a person as a hostage.
