Visualization analysis of globe research progress in farmland nitrogen loss based on CiteSpace
Journal Title: Journal of Henan Agricultural University - Year 2023, Vol 57, Issue 3
Abstract
[Objective] The aim of this study was to analyze the current research status and hot topics of global agricultural nitrogen loss through searching and analyzing the relevant research databases, in order to provide new perspectives and ideas for future research. [Method] The CiteSpace software was used to conduct a bibliometric analysis of nearly 20 years of researches on nitrogen loss from both the Web of Science database and the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) Chinese core journals database. [Result] The results showed that the number of literature on nitrogen loss showed an increasing trend year by year, with the United States and China ranking first and second respectively in terms of total number of publications, but collaboration among research institutions was poor. Nitrogen loss research involves multiple disciplines, such as environmental science, soil science, agriculture multidisciplinary, ecology, agronomy, and water resources utilization. The Chinese literature focuses on nitrogen utilization, nitrogen loss pathways, and the relationship between nitrogen fertilizer and crop production, while the English literature covers nitrogen loss causes, nitrogen environmental fate, and excessive nitrogen emissions' impact on the ecological environment. [Conclusion] Cluster analysis of literatures and keyword trend detection indicate that nitrogen loss research is facing the challenge of comprehensive and coordinating development of food production, environmental pollution, and climate change.
