VLADIMIR NIKIFOROVICH STANKO AND THE QUESTION OF MESOLITHUM OF UKRAINE

Abstract
The article deals with the work of Volodymyr Nikiforovich Stankeo, a well-known archaeologist, ethnologist, historian, researcher of the Mesolithic and Paleolithic. V. N. Stanko was and remains an outstanding scientist at the time of his work on the Mesolithic and is now the standard of this page of the chronicle of archaeological science of Ukraine and other regions. In his work, the study of human settlement at the beginning of the modern geological era in the history of the Earth in the Northwest Black Sea region has just begun.
