VOLUNTEERISM AS A FACTOR OF SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT AND CONSOLIDATION OF YOUTH IN MODERN UKRAINE

Abstract
The article deals with the development of voluntary activity in Ukraine as a contributing factor to social advancement, self-organization, and consolidation of young people. Especially, volunteerism becomes extremely relevant in the period of social and political transformations and crises that presently exist in our country. Accordingly, the current situation causes the engagement and mobilization of citizens, especially young people, who are not ready to face modern challenges and to address the pressing issues in the state. In fact, Ukrainian youth is unadapted to dramatic changes of the social life conditions. Additionally, the research focuses on changing values and priorities of young people in the direction of volunteering, charity events, and patriotism promotion due to the aggravation of the social and financial questions, actualization of numerous internal and external changes and displays of military progress in eastern Ukraine. Thus, it is concluded that the present volunteering in Ukraine has considerable social recognition and is characterized by the positive trust dynamics of both civil society and the state.
