VOSI-CONSTRUCTION IN THE FUNCTION OF THE COMPLEMENT OF TRANSITIVE VERBS ON THE BASIS OF EARLY NEW ENGLISH TEXTS

Abstract
The article deals with VOSI-construction in the function of the complement of transitive verbs in Early New English texts. VOSI-construction in the function of the complement of monotransitive verbs with the controlling subject of an action, VOSI-construction in the function of the complement of complex transitive verbs and VOSI-construction in the function of the complement of ditransitive verbs in Early New English are investigated. The frequency of use of the VOSI-construction in the function of the complement of transitive verbs in Early New English texts is observed.
