Abstract
Valorization of Teachers Work in Culture of Professional Community. In the Experience of Novice Teachers Acquiring professional competence is a long time, multifaceted, complex process which regards the shaping of one’s professional identity and establishing interpersonal relations in a new social background as well as the acquisition of new knowledge and skills. In the text, the discussion revolves around the issue of learning in culture of professional community when teachers start their work. Considerations are focused upon two questions, viz.: the value attributed to the labor by the generation of young adults and the meaning of culture of individualism and community while learning one’s profession. Basing upon the author’s own investigations, there were found answers to the following questions: What might reputable professional work mean for a novice teacher (nursery schools and school grades 1–3)? And how important is the culture of professional community for this evaluation?
