The strict minority policy of Military Junta, which seized the Greece government in 1967, caused serious emigration movement from Trace. Although the main direction of emigration is to Turkey, they tended to the West Europe as worker migrants during these years. The migration is proceeded like the worker migrations from Turkey to Europe. The Emigration continued through the family reunion. After the Greek’s gaining in 1988 of right of freely circulation in EU, the second and the bigger migration movement started. Today, because of these migrations ,it is estimated that 25.000 West Thrace Turks is living in Europe. This article handles the migrations of West Thrace Turks part by part and presents a general view about the perception of identity of them with the empiric dates.
