Abstract
The Image of Early School Teachers in the Eyes of Parents and Teachers The fundamental task of teachers is to prepare the young generation for work and life in a society. The work of an early school teacher is very challenging. The responsibilities and roles of teachers are not easy and require specialist knowledge as they pertain to various spheres of children’s life. A teacher is a particularly important person in a child’s life and serves as a role model. This is especially vital at an early age when a child feels lonely in a new environment. A teacher becomes a person whose acceptance is of paramount significance to a student and who considerably shapes the personality of students through his/her own example. Can teachers accomplish these tasks? The study presented in the article was designed to determine the image of early school teachers in the eyes of parents and teachers themselves.
