Abstract
El mundo editorial y la producción audiovisual se suelen acercar a los grandes acontecimientos históricos de forma cíclica, aprovechando el estado de ánimo que se genera con las conmemoraciones históricas. El año 1968 no es objeto de celebración ni en los apartados de humor gráfico de la prensa estadounidense, fue un año tremebundo, quedó grabado a fuego en la memoria de la gente: magnicidios, protestas callejeras, huelgas, movimientos reivindicativos, saqueos, deserciones, detenciones masivas, represión policial, colapso estratégico en Vietnam, fracaso en las negociaciones de paz, et cetera.Incluso, los acontecimientos de aquellas fechas se han mitificado con el paso del tiempo, a nivel social, académico, periodístico y político.
