X-RAY STUDIES OF THE STRUCTURE OF VACUUM Al–Fe CONDENSATES

Abstract

The structure and the resistivity of Al–Fe condensates produced by electron–beam evaporation, followed by vacuum condensation are analyzed. It is shown that alloying of aluminum with iron leads to a decrease of coherent scattering regions (blocks) size, expands the boundaries of the iron solubility in the fcc of the aluminum lattice, increases the electrical resistance of condensates.
