Zadania zespołu terapeutycznego w opiece nad pacjentem sztucznie wentylowanym

Abstract
A patient with respiratory failure is hospitalized at an intensive care unit, where he or she is the subject of professional care. Patients often require respiratory support, i.e. a respirator is used to assist or replace spontaneous breathing. Depending on the condition of the patient two methods of ventilation apply: invasive and non-invasive. When taking care of the patient, continual, thorough, critical observation and the evaluation of dynamically changing life parameters are of utmost importance. During the care, problems may arise that need to be identified, and nursing and therapeutic procedures should be implemented in order to solve them, taking into account the individuality of the patients and their condition. In the course of the implementation and performance of nursing tasks, professionalism, regularity and cooperation with the therapeutic team are crucial.
