Abstract
Desertification problem in Kazakhstan is one of the most important problems of our republic. The article describes that chaotic cattle grazing can lead to a change in vegetation cover and, as a result, to soil damage. This phenomenon is called pasture land depression. Depression development is due to the characteristics of animal species, intensity and duration of pasture use, and resistance to trampling pasture plants.
