Journal Title: Rehabilitacja w Praktyce - Year 2017, Vol 1, Issue 6
Abstract
Parkinson’s disease is a common, age-related neurodegenerative disease leading to disability. Many patients present problems with walking, coordination, balance and posture stabilization. As the disease progresses, the risk of falls increases. In this review article the current possibilities of using Pilates exercises in patients with Parkinson’s disease as a complement to comprehensive rehabilitation have been described.
