Abstract
The Turkish‑Iran relations have a long history and tradition. Considering the fact that both countries for centuries have bordered each other, they were forced to both cooperation and rivalry. The bilateral relations between both states were shaped by many political factors. The close contacts were not only a result of common border, but also of their cultural proximity.
