Zespól trzaskającego biodra - charakterystyka i sposoby leczenia

Abstract
The aim of the paper has been to analyze the literature on snapping hip syndrome (SHS, coxa saltans), as well as its diagnosing and non-operative treatment methods. A two-stage literature selection was applied. At stage one we analyzed two databases: PubMed and Google Scholar searching two keywords: snapping hip and coxa saltans. At stage two (as of the 1st March 2017) articles published between 2007 and 2017 were analyzed in detail. The final analysis included articles in which their authors described what SHS is, its etiology and symptoms, diagnosing and the non-operative methods of the SHS treatment. The number of scientific articles on SHS is still scarce. Most of them address operative treatment methods and case reports. Low number of articles on physiotherapeutic methods and clinical diagnostics in SHS can be noticed.
