Abstract
Leczenie chirurgiczne złamań wyrostków kłykciowych żuchwy u pacjentów z bruksizmem, może być obciążone wystąpieniem powikłań w postaci zaburzonej repozycji lub ponownego złamania z zablokowaniem i utworzeniem stawu rzekomego.Autorki przedstawiają opis przypadku postępowania terapeutycznego po chirurgicznej repozycji złamanego wyrostka kłykciowego u którym wystąpił w następstwie powtórnego złamania zgryz otwarty. Zastosowana w pracy metoda może być również wskazówką dla lekarzy praktyków, jaki tryb postępowania można przyjąć w przypadku osoby dorosłej ze znacznym zgryzem otwartym, kiedy zostały wyczerpane możliwości leczenia ortodontycznego lub są przeciwwskazania do wdrożenia postępowania chirurgicznego.
