A NEW TEST METHOD AND TESTING DEVICE FOR A HIGH TEMPERATURE TRIBOLOGICAL INVESTIGATION OF LUBRICANT PROPERTIES
Journal Title: Tribologia - Year 2015, Vol 264, Issue 6
Abstract
The paper presents a testing device for the tribological investigation of the properties of greases designated to work under the conditions of elevated temperatures and low loads. The device was developed in the framework of the Strategic Programme financed by EU, Task II.2.2. The tribotester uses a commercial ball bearing as a test friction joint. In the paper, the mechanical construction and the control and measurement systems are discussed. The authors present the conclusions from conducted verification tests, which led to the development of the technical documentation of the device prototype. The test procedure is also presented.

THE EPR METHOD INVESTIGATION OF FREE RADICALS IN POLYMER UHMWPE APPLIED IN THE BIOMEDICAL KNOTS OF THE FRICTION
In this paper, the results of EPR measuring of free radicals for two types of polyethylene of ultra high molecular weight: GUR 1020 and GUR 1050 are presented. Samples were irradiated by electron beam energy of 10 MeV an...
INVESTIGATION OF SOME CHOSEN STEELS USED FOR SOIL WORKING ELEMENTS
The intensity of wear of three kinds of steel was studied in field conditions. Two kinds of boric steel meant for working parts of agricultural utensils operating in soil and soft steel (S 235) were used for comparison....
CHOSEN TRIBOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF FeAl ALLOYS
This research was focused on tribological properties of FeAl alloys. Powder and cast FeAl alloy was used in this study. The influence of the alloy morphology on its tribological properties is discussed. Tribological test...
ANALYSIS OF THE PROCESS OF WEAR OF A BRONZE–ALLOY CAST IRON KINEMATIC PAIR UNDER MIXED FRICTION CONDITIONS
The paper presents the results of model studies of wear under mixed friction conditions of the worm–worm rack kinematic pair, where the worm is made of bronze CUA19Fe3, while the worm rack is of alloy cast iron. This pai...
THE WEAR MECHANISM IN THE ASPECT OF CHANGES IN THE SURFACE LAYER OF METALLURGICAL WORKING ROLLERS AFTER EXPLOITATION
The work characterizes the wear mechanisms of steelwork working rollers in hot rolling mills of steel products and semi-products. It presents the results of the examinations of the surface layer of samples obtained from...
