ACCURACY ESTIMATION OF THE EQUIVALENT CIRCUIT PARAMETERS IDENTIFICATION OF SQUIRREL CAGE INDUCTION MOTOR

Abstract

Purpose. To estimate the accuracy of T-shaped equivalent circuit parameters estimation of the squirrel cage induction motor taking into account errors in the initial experimental data. This will allow formulating the conditions of the experiment with acceptable sensitivity of the model to the errors. Methodology. The problem was solved using a series of computational experiments. The evaluation of the error effect was made as follows: the values of the input active and reactive components of the input impedance on the stator side were changed by the error value (assumed to be ±5 %). Next, the determination of each parameter was made with other parameters assumed to be known. Based on the value of the maximum deviation of the parameter, a conclusion was made about its sensitivity to the error. Results. Recommendations were formulated for determination of the equivalent circuit parameters both for stationary and rotating rotor. The analytical expression was obtained with the help of which it is possible to determine the recommended frequency of the supply voltage when identifying the active rotor resistance and the average value of the leakage inductance for stationary rotor. Originality. For the first time the numerical estimates of the sensitivity of the equivalent circuit parameters to the errors in the initial experimental values were obtained. Practical value. The use of the recommended values of stator power frequencies ensures the stability of the results of the equivalent circuit parameters identification to the presence of errors in the initial experimental data, eliminating the risk of obtaining unreliable results.
