Administrative Functions of Public School Heads of Secondary Schools in Buenavista Agusan del Norte: A Basis for Enhanced Training Program

Abstract
This study explores the administrative functions of public secondary school heads in Buenavista Agusan del Norte, aiming to inform the development of an enhanced training program. Key administrative responsibilities are examined, such as strategic direction, curriculum development, staff management, and emergency response planning. The research focuses on assessing the extent of these functions and determining whether differences exist based on the profiles of school heads and teachers.The study employs a descriptive research method, utilizing questionnaires and statistical analyses such as percentages, ranking, and weighted mean. ANOVA, or analysis of variance, is used to determine significant differences in administrative functions according to the profiles of school heads and teachers.The Department of Education's role in recognizing and addressing the training needs of school principals is emphasized, highlighting the importance of effective leadership in the context of School-Based Management. The research aims to contribute insights for an action plan, specifically an enhanced training program, to address the identified needs and challenges.
