Aesthetic restoration of anterior section using Edelweiss standard composite veneers

Abstract
Introduction. Reconstruction of anterior section using Edelweiss composite veneers leads to improved aesthetics and function of incisors. A brief comparison of ceramic veneers and Edelweiss veneers with the advantages and disadvantages of both structures is presented. The problem of the immediate restoration of the patient’s mouth, as well as the concept of preparation are also discussed.Aim of the study. To present the reconstruction of maxillary incisors using Edelweiss composite veneers.Material and Methods. This paper presents three cases of patients’ treated with the use of Edelweiss composite veneers.Results. Prefabricated Edelweiss composite veneers are not able to replace ceramic veneers. They are an alternative to the classical solution of the ceramic veneers. It should be emphasised that the enhanced flexibility of composite veneers was obtained utilizing a composite material. However, it is associated with a possibility of absorbing dyes resistant to ceramic present in the oral cavity.Conclusions. Standard Edelweiss veneers limit the construction individualization, which directly affect the final result. Despite their advantages and disadvantages they are used in dental practice.
