AN INTRODUCTION TO DSmT. FIRST PART
Journal Title: ROMANIAN JOURNAL OF TECHNICAL SCIENCES - APPLIED MECHANICS - Year 2011, Vol 56, Issue 2
Abstract
The management and combination of uncertain, imprecise, fuzzy and even paradoxical or highly conflicting sources of information has always been, and still remains today, of primal importance for the development of reliable modern information systems involving artificial reasoning. In this introduction, we present a survey of our recent theory of plausible and paradoxical reasoning, known as Dezert-Smarandache Theory (DSmT), developed for dealing with imprecise, uncertain and conflicting sources of information. We focus our presentation on the foundations of DSmT and on its most important rules of combination, rather than on browsing specific applications of DSmT available in literature. Several simple examples are given throughout this presentation to show the efficiency and the generality of this new theory.

DYNAMICS ANALYSIS OF A TWO-MODULE HYBRID PARALLEL MANIPULATOR
Recursive matrix relations for dynamics analysis of a spatial two-module hybrid parallel manipulator are established in this paper. Knowing the relative motions of the moving platforms, the inverse dynamics problem is so...
STOCHASTIC LINEARIZATION OF SYSTEMS WITH HYSTERETIC CHARACTERISTICS
In this paper is presented a linearization method for a stochastic differential system with hysteretic characteristics and random excitation. The Gaussian equivalent linearization technique is applied to a system with hy...
ON THE INVERSE SONIFICATION PROBLEM
The inverse sonification problem is discussed in this paper in order to identify new features in its capability to discover hidden details in the medical images. In contrast to the direct problem of sonification that con...
INVERSE DYNAMICS OF A TRANSLATION-ROTATION HYBRID PARALLEL ROBOT
Matrix relations for dynamics analysis of a spatial two-module hybrid parallel manipulator are established in this paper. Knowing the relative motions of two serially connected moving platforms, the inverse dynamics prob...
CALIBRATION OF GTN DAMAGE MODEL PARAMETERS USING HYDRAULIC BULGE TEST
In this research, a new approach has been introduced for the identification of GTN damage model parameters. The response surface methodology was used for design of experiments and also for the calculation of the optimum...
