Аналіз елективних курсів з навчання перекладу для учнів старших класів шкіл філологічного профілю

Abstract
У статті проаналізовано елективні курси з навчання перекладу для учнів старших класів шкіл філологічного профілю щодо їх відповідності вимогам до навчальних посібників елективних курсів з іноземних мов для учнів старших класів профільної школи. Аналіз здійснено на основі запропонованих автором критеріїв. Результати аналізу свідчать про недостатню відповідність проаналізованих елективних курсів висунутим критеріям, необхідність розробки теоретичних засад навчання перекладу учнів старших класів філологічного профілю й укладанню методичних рекомендацій щодо створення елективних курсів з навчання перекладу старшокласників. Abstract. Introduction. Subject oriented school education is one of the key courses of senior school modernization in Ukraine. Foreign languages oriented educational programmes involve senior school students’ professionally oriented training connected with foreign languages as their future profession. Such training is carried out within elective courses. It can be implied by proper training and teaching resources. The elective courses aimed at teaching translation to senior profile/specialist school students are among them. Purpose. The purpose of this research is to analyse elective courses on translation evaluating if their contents meet the requirements for such teachware. Іноземні мови No4/2016 (88) Methods. The analysis has been conducted on the criteria suggested by the author: the correspondence of the elective courses’ contents to the learning objectives; teaching materials adequacy; taking into account students’ psychological constitution, skills and experience; if there is any motivation of students’ learning activities; the appropriateness of teaching methods and means; integrated teaching types of speech activity; if there are any means and criteria of students’ assessment and self assessment; the ability to modify the elective course’s contents; students’ bilingual skills and abilities development; if there are any cross-curricular links with foreign and native language courses; if there are any relative texts; if there is any professionally oriented component; if there are any problem-oriented tasks. Results. The analysis has shown that only two of the six analyzed elective courses meet the criteria and requirements for such training and teaching aids. It also proves the urgent necessity of the theoretical prerequisites on teaching translation to senior school students’ development, and creating a guideline for elective courses elaboration.
