Abstract
Ensuring the safety and quality of veterinary drugs is one of the stages of the chain to ensure food safety. In accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Veterinary Medicine", the relevant authorities monitor the residual quantities of veterinary drugs and pollutants in animals, animal products and feed. Lack of high-quality and precise legislation makes it possible to violate veterinary and sanitary requirements and to implement production and sale of veterinary drugs of questionable quality. This, in turn, leads to a violation of the principle of a unified system of organizational and qualification approaches and requirements in the provision of veterinary services, destabilization of the competitiveness of the market, the appearance of low-quality veterinary drugs on it, violates the waiting times after their use, the ingestion of antibacterial drugs to food products animal origin. The specified problem is supposed to be solved by adopting the resolution of the CMU "On Amendments to the Regulations on the State Registration of Veterinary Preparations" with a view to preventing a discriminatory approach towards the national producer.
