The globalized environment compels educational institutions to formulate strategies and rethink their operations to enhance their competitiveness, an aspect impacted by various factors addressed in this study. The main objective was to propose administrative and management strategies to improve the competitiveness of educational institutions in the northern part of Guayaquil in 2024. Questionnaires and structured observations were administered in five educational units, evaluating 15 key criteria. Additionally, the COPRAS method was used for multicriteria analysis and Porter's Five Forces model to assess the competitive dynamics in the sector. As a result, strategies focused on the integration of information and communication technologies (ICT), the optimization of resource management, and the modernization of infrastructure were proposed, identified as critical factors for improving competitiveness. The analysis established a ranking of educational units in the sector, highlighting Educational Unit 3 in first place due to its superior performance in most of the evaluated criteria.
