Application of AHP Method for Comparing the Criteria Used in Lo-cating Wind Farms
Journal Title: Acta Energetica - Year 2016, Vol 28, Issue 3
Abstract
The article presents a description and comparison of criteria used for choosing the location of a wind farm. The criteria include measurements of wind kinetic energy on a given location, location of wind turbines, location of the transmission line which is used for power transfer from a wind farm to a substation, location of local infrastructure and a grid connection related with technical requirements and project environment. In order to compare the above mentioned criteria, the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) method was used, with a 1 to 9 point scale. As far as matching preferences with criteria is concerned, it embraces issues of obtaining decisions and permissions. The main objective of the article is to create a ranking of criteria in their correlation to probability of project success. The article presents the introduction of comparative analysis of a few planned projects, with regard to the time needed to obtain construction permit.

Influence of Power System on Operation of an HVDC Link. A Case Study
An HVDC link enables power and energy exchange between unsynchronised power grids. Large possibilities of controlling active power flows through such systems enable commercial transfers, as well as emergency power balanc...
Planning the Operation of a Hybrid Generation System in the Power System in a Multi-faceted Approach
The paper presents the results of a multi-criteria analysis of the cooperation of a hybrid generation system (HGS) with the power system. The analysed system consists of wind turbines, photovoltaic panels and an energy s...
Design of Transformers
In this paper the basic designing of high voltage power transformers has been described. The layout and construction of a high voltage and low voltage winding of transformers has been determined. The designing of a tank...
An Nonconventional Power Swing Blocking Solution for Power Unit’s Under-impedance Protections
The paper discusses the problem of malfunctioning of under-impedance protections of power units and conventional power swing blocking solutions for these protections during power swings. Typical solutions of under-impeda...
Impact of Voltage Conditions on Distributed Generation Connectivity in Medium Voltage Grids
A significant increase in the distributed generating sources connected and planned for connection to medium voltage (MV) grids makes voltage criteria very important in assessing the sources’ connectivity. Many requests h...
