APPLYING THE VARIATIONAL-GRID METHOD ТО THE SUPPORTED SHELLS CALCULATION

Abstract
In this paper the method of calculation of the sloping shells, which is based on the non-linear programming method is used. The method of coordinate-wise descent is used for solving of the problem of minimizing the system’s total potential energy on a finite space of admissible displacements. To construct a finite-dimensional problem a triangular finite elements were choosed for a sloping shell. The convergence of solutions has been investigated.
