ASPECTOS DE LA OPTIMIZACIÓN DE MOTORES PARA VEHÍCULOS ELÉCTRICOS

Abstract
In this work, a review of the literature related to the different aspects of the optimization of the engine of an electric vehicle (EV) is made. The classification of EV is studied, then the classification of the electric engine (EM) is done, including accessories such as the engine speed controller, the voltage eliminator, and their advantages and disadvantages compared to the application to internal combustion (IC) vehicles. Both the materials with which the EM is made are studied, as well as the simulations with the finite element method (FEM), and some equations involved in the design and simulation too, where aspects of geometric design are also addressed. Some adaptations that are used to increase the performance of the EM are highlighted, with the purpose of selecting the best EM option for the different EV, from a scooter to a car, reaching aspects of application, design, performance, economy and pollution. Special emphasis is placed on the squirrel-cage asynchronous alternating current three-phase EM, for the conversion of a small CI car to one powered by an EM.
