ASSESSMENT OF TRIBOLOGICAL PROPERTIES AND GEOMETRIC STRUCTURE OF WC-Cu COATINGS AFTER LASER TREATMENT

Abstract

The article presents a study on the effect of laser treatment on the tribological properties and geometric structure of WC-Cu coatings applied by spark. Based on observations of friction resistance test, measurements of porosity, corrosion resistance testing, and changes in the structure of the surface properties of the coatings were evaluated after laser treatment. The studies were conducted using WC-Cu electrodes, produced by sintering nanostructural powders. The anti-wear coatings were electro-spark deposited over C45 carbon steel by means of EIL-8A, while the laser processing performed by electro coats were applied using Nd: YAG, BLS 720.
