Azerbaijan in context Russian-Ottoman geopolitical contradictions in the first half of the 18th century

Abstract
The article is devoted to the economic and political confrontation between the Ottoman and Safavid empires in the first half of the XVIII century. In article indicates the goals and prospects for the conquest of these countries in the region, and also the diplomatic intervention of European countries in the war between two countries for the Caspian region.
