B-LYNCH SURGICAL TECHNIQUE FOR THE CONTROL OF MASSIVE POSTPARTUM HAEMORRHAGE: AN ALTERNATIVE TO HYSTERECTOMY

Abstract
The aim of this article is to show the significant place of the B-Lynch suture procedure as an alternative to hysterectomy for massive atonic haemorrhage following childbirth. This article is based on the results of performing the B-Lynch technique in 9 patients with massive atonic haemorrhage from 2010 to 2015 at University Hospital, town of Ruse and University Hospital, town of Burgas. B-Lynch suture is a suitable technique for the control of severe atonic haemeorrhage following childbirth which may avoid the hysterectomy. This suturing technique, when applied correctly, in most of the cases avoids the hysterectomy in atonic postpartum haemorrhage.
