Journal Title: Проблеми системного підходу в економіці - Year 2017, Vol 6, Issue 62
Abstract
Complex business conditions, which are typical for the majority of domestic industrial enterprises, actualize the need for a thorough study of the problem of ensuring the necessary level of economic security for each enterprise. The proper level of economic security allows both the preservation of business and the formation of the basis for the sustainable development of a particular enterprise. Ensuring economic security requires the definition of a theoretical basis, which provides for the formation of a modern interpretation of the concept of “security”. The conducted research allowed revealing and justifying the importance of the interpretation of security not only as a static but also as a dynamic category. It is proved that the basic conditions for ensuring the security of the socio-economic system are: stability, firmness, equilibrium, reliability, vitality, adaptation, and flexibility. The own interpretation of the key components of the categorical security apparatus is justified: stability – the ability to maintain its structure and the main parameters of development in response to external and internal factors; firmness – the ability to withstand the negative impact of external and internal factors to find a new equilibrium state; balance – the ability to provide a state of permanent disequilibrium, providing for the restoration of equilibrium taking into account the changing conditions of existence for the possibility of development; adaptation – the ability to adapt to changing conditions of existence; flexibility – the ability to respond to changes in the internal and external functioning environment; reliability – the ability to maintain the basic parameters of the operation, regardless of the effect of factors of the internal and external environment; viability – the ability to provide vitality, including through self-healing, to maintain the trajectory of development. It is proved that the safety of the socio-economic system, which is also every industrial enterprise, can be achieved through: protection at a particular moment in time; formation of safe development conditions; ensuring effective functioning with the possibility of achieving key interests. The theoretical aspects of ensuring the safety of the socio-economic system can be applied in developing methodological bases for the implementation of protective measures by subjects of economic security of industrial enterprises. Despite the fact that both external environment and internal uncontrolled processes are the sources of the decrease in the level of security, because of the emergence and realization of challenges, risks, and threats, we consider it appropriate to pay attention to the development of the organizational and economic mechanism for managing the economic safety of industrial enterprises.
