Journal Title: International Research Journal of Pharmacy (IRJP) - Year 2012, Vol 3, Issue 5
Abstract
Diabetes mellitus [DM] is a metabolic disorder of the endocrine system. People suffering from diabetes are not able to produce or properly use insulin in the body, so they have a high level of blood glucose. The present aim of our study is to find out the biochemical studies on blood sample patient’s with diabetes mellitus. We measured the glucose level, Thiobarbituric Acid Reactive Substance (TBARS), Superoxide dismutase (SOD), Catalase (CAT), Estimation of reduced glutathione (GSH), Estimation of Glutathione peroxides (GPx), vitamin-E and vitamin-C on 15 days and 30 days treatment of 10 patients for each.
