Biomonitoring a prawdziwa różnorodność rzędu pierwszego

Journal Title: Roczniki Naukowe Polskiego Związku Wędkarskiego - Year 2013, Vol 26, Issue

Abstract

Diversity measures are important nonparametric tools of community study in biomonitoring research, which is gaining importance in freshwater fish assessment for angling purposes. Yet the full potential of the measures has been theoretically explained only in recent years, which is one cause why they are still too little appreciated by the fishery scientific community. Another cause is perhaps lack of easy and extensive presentations of the newly discovered qualities and application possibilities of these measures, including respective calculations. The present study is an attempt to present the advance in diversity measure assessment and understanding that has occurred in recent years using simple examples related to freshwater fishery research.
