BRASS INSTRUMENTS IN UKRAINIAN MUSIC SPACE

Abstract
The article defines the main stages of the history of the functioning of brass instruments on the territory of Ukraine. It is noted that the formation of the national school of playing on brass instruments has been taking place since the XIX century, which is accompanied by the emergence of professional musical education, the emergence of an active concert life in Ukrainian society. Thanks to the activities of Ukrainian composers, a repertoire designed for wind performance is being formed. It is emphasized that one of the leading genres that allows demonstrating the richness of the expressive and technical capabilities of the instrument is a concert. Various forms of concert genre in the works of contemporary Ukrainian composers testify to the highly professional level of performing on wind instruments.
