BRINGING UP HEALTH SAVING BEHAVIOUR OF SENIOR PRESCHOOL-AGED CHILDREN: THEORETICAL ASPECT

Abstract

The article is devoted to the psychological and pedagogical approaches to understanding the essence of the concept of «behaviour» in general and «health saving behaviour», in particular. The author emphasized the peculiarity of human behaviour, depending on the nature of person’s relations within groups, being their member, as well as the group norms, values, role orders. It is emphasized in the issue, that the inadequacy of the person's behaviour negatively affects his / her interpersonal relationships; and it is actualized in particular in person’s reassessment of individual features while distinguishing between verbal and real plans, weakening critical control of behaviour program implementation. Therefore, the main thing in human behaviour is its relation to moral standards. The author also discusses aspects of children’s behaviour education during their preschool childhood, when children begin to understand the ethical norms of rationality and expediency. The level of awareness of child’s moral behaviour is growing on the basis of this understanding. Preschool children tend to know not only how to behave, but also why they should do it, what the older peopls’s requirements and rules are stipulated by. This awareness of behavioral norms leads to generalized ideas about actions and actions of people in society, the distinction between acceptable and unacceptable behaviour. The author emphasized that children under school age can undertake actions and explain the reasons of their behaviour as well as assess the behaviour of their coevals. While dealing with coevals, a child learns in practice the rules of moral conduct, which presupposes the evaluation of their correlation with the norm. The important role of the interaction in the mode «adults - parents and educators» in the formation of preschoolers’ health keeping behaviour is emphasized. It is shown that they need to help children learn to set an important goal - to maintain and promote health, to achieve it, to govern it, to overcome impulsiveness in their behaviour. In this process speech is important in spite if the fact that there is a possibility of changing their actions, since speech may be closely tied to a particular situation and remain within it for some time; it does not seem to be a means of overcoming it, it does not evoke child’s awareness of his / hers behaviour either. Therefore, positive communication is particularly important as it is included in the activities according to children’s interests, though does not match their real actions, which makes it possible to understand their actions.
