CALCIUM INTAKE AND RISK OF FRACTURE DURING THE PREMENOPAUSE PERIODS

Abstract
Osteoporosis (OP) is a systemic metabolic disease of the skeleton, there is a decrease in bone mineral density with a violation of its architectonics, an increased risk of fractures in case of inadequate trauma/physical activity. OP occupies an equal place with cardiovascular, respiratory, oncological pathology due to mortality and disability, is considered “silent epidemic”. Striking mainly elderly people, acquires an increasing prevalence: an increase in life expectancy leads to an extension of the age interval during which an involuntary loss of bone tissue occurs, the risk of a fracture increases. The alteration of bone metabolism depends from different factors such as drug-depended hypoestrogenia; result in decrease bone mineral density. The main aim of the investigation was to evaluate pathological changes in bone metabolism in woman with drug-depended hypoestrogenia.
