Calendar day versus transport day

Abstract
The paper raises the issue of the transport offer impact on the movements of people in urbanised areas through the accessibility expressed by the operation period. It is related to the departure times of individual journeys, which may be carried out in various calendar days. The journeys ‘crossing’ the midnight are a problem, because they are made in two calendar days. So it is necessary to apply solutions assigning the departure times to appropriate days: calendar and transport days. This affects both the entries in the IT systems and in the information for individual traffic services and for passengers.
