CHANGES IN GOVERNMENT FINANCIAL PROGRAMS TO SUPPORT RESIDENTIAL REAL ESTATE IN POLAND AND THEIR IMPLICATIONS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT INDUSTRY

Abstract
The problem of the residential real estate deficit in Poland is incomparable with housing situation in the West Europe countries. Changes in the situation in the financial market and housing problems, particularly among young people, have stimulated development and evolution of government programs to support development of housing construction sector. The government program Mieszkanie dla młodych (Flat for the Young) as continuation expire 31.12.2012 r. program Rodzina na swoim (Family with Their Own Place) will have supported young Poles with loan subsidies until 2018. According to the analysts of the real estate markets from the AMRON centre, despite much controversy over MdM, this government program will stimulate developers' sector and offers opportunities for supporting customers who buy flats (in the context of new requirements of having obligatory own contribution - amendment to the S Recommendation).
