Changes of main parameters of party system of Ukraine: from elections of 1998 to elections of 2014

Abstract
The tendencies of changes in quantitative parameters of the party system of Ukraine in the years of elections by party registers in Ukraine are analyzed in the paper: the number of parties which took part in the election campaigns, the number of parties which have overcome the election barrier; parts of the votes collected by parties-winners and two leading parties, as well as indices of the “efficient” number of electoral parties and the “efficient” number of Parliament parties. A comparative analysis is presented of the parameters of the party system of Ukraine and some countries of the European Union.
